Recently, the Foreign-related Maritime Tribunal of Xiamen Maritime Court ruled in a dispute over a contract for the carriage of goods by sea, ordering an international shipping giant of Denmark to submit internal temperature records for the container involved in the case. The case represents a proactive attempt by the Court to accurately apply the relevant provisions concerning the ordering of the submission of evidence under the Interpretation of the Supreme People’s Court on the Application of the Civil Procedure Law, effectively addressing challenges in cross-border evidence collection.
